	Abstract: This article analyzes the lexicon on gender identity in press and digital media. The corpus is composed of more than 300 texts (articles, magazines, digital press, blogs) about this topic. The time of publishing extends from 2012 to 2021. To carry out this analysis we have used a quantitative and qualitative methodology and the contributions on the concept of neologism from the cognitive perspective. The objective is to register which terms and expressions around sexual identity are used in these texts and to know their degree of cognition and perception in the receiving society. The results show that it is a new lexicon with a high level of neologicity, also recognizable and transparent to speakers. We are in front of a group of words considered relevant and useful, because they represent a new reality that must be named in order to be recognized ; El siguiente artículo analiza el léxico sobre la identidad de género en la prensa y en el ámbito digital. El corpus lo componen más de 300 textos, obtenidos de artículos sobre cuestiones relacionadas con este tema, procedentes de páginas web, de revistas y de artículos de prensa digital de secciones diversas. El marco temporal abarca desde 2012 hasta 2021. Para llevar a cabo el análisis nos hemos basado en una metodología cuantitativa y cualitativa y las aportaciones sobre el concepto de neologismo desde la perspectiva cognitiva. El objetivo es registrar qué términos y expresiones en torno a la identidad sexual se emplean en estos textos y conocer su grado de cognición y percepción en la sociedad receptora. Los resultados muestran que es un léxico nuevo con un nivel de neologicidad alto, pero reconocibles y transparentes para los hablantes. Estamos ante un conjunto de voces que despiertan interés y se consideran necesarias, porque representan una realidad nueva que debe ser nombrada para su reconocimiento.
