RUPTURA COM OS RACISMOS LINGUÍSTICO E EPISTÊMICO NA ESCOLA
In: Revista Virtual Lingu@ Nostr@; v. 8 n. 1 (2021): Dossiê temático sobre Racismo e ensino de línguas,; 59 - 90 ; 2317-2320 (2021)
Abstract: Research work presupposes a certain internal unease. In this work, personal interest is directed to the study of language, in particular the vernacular and the relations between language and racism in the scope of basic education. An interdisciplinary approach is sought, with an emphasis on the thinking of black intellectuals in order to situate the crossroads of language as constructions structured by racism. It discusses how language structures racism, tracing a brief overview of how the Portuguese language was formed and specifically in Brazil, with an emphasis on the Africanization of Brazilian Portuguese. Language is recognized as invention when problematizing linguistic racism and epistemicide in the context of formal education, as a device of racialization that silences and excludes non-white youth in / from school. Finally, the deconstruction of language based on a traditional approach is suggested and a rebellion is proposed against the impositions of the standard language and against the Eurocentric knowledge primarily taught in the formal school. Teaching (of the language?), In this sense, would constitute an act of transgression. Keywords: Linguistic racism; Epistemicide; Vernacular language; Minorized Majority; Education ; Um trabalho de pesquisa pressupõe uma certa inquietação interna.
