Die Reform des Sprachencurriculums der EDK, Teil des gross angelegten Schulharmonisierungsprojektes HarmoS, sieht vor, dass sich alle Schülerinnen und Schüler am Ende der obligatorischen Schulzeit in zwei Fremdsprachen gleichermassen verständigen können. Dies ist wohl nur durch sprachenübergreifendes, ökonomisches Lehren und Lernen zu erreichen. Gut koordinierte Lehrpläne und Lehrmittel tragen zur horizontalen Kohärenz der Inhalte, Ziele und Methoden in allen Sprachfächern und zur Förderung der stufenübergreifenden Kommunikation (vertikale Kohärenz) bei. Nach einer Erläuterung der Prinzipien des mehrsprachigen Lehrens und Lernens werden Lehrplan und Lehrmittel im Gesamtzusammenhang des Curriculums verortet und deren komplexes Wechselspiel beleuchtet. Es wird am Beispiel der verschiedenen Bildungsregionen der Schweiz gezeigt, wie unterschiedlich sich die Dynamik Lehrmittel – Lehrplan – sprachübergreifendes Curriculum in den verschiedenen Bildungsregionen gestaltet. Der Beitrag schliesst mit der Rolle der koordinierten Lehrpläne und Lehrmittel in der Aus- und Weiterbildung der Lehrkräfte im Hinblick auf die Gestaltung eines kohärenten Sprachencurriculums ab. ; The education in plurilinguism entails an integrated promotion of the learners' plurilingual repertoire. The reform of the languages curriculum initiated by the Swiss conference of cantonal ministers of education, which is a part of the larger HarmoS project of the harmonisation of school, expects that all learners be able to communicate in two foreign languages at a comparable level at the end of compulsory school. This goal can only be achieved by promoting new, more efficient cross-linguistic approaches to language teaching and learning. Well coordinated syllabuses and course books contribute to the horizontal coherence of contents, objectives and methods in language teaching and to the promotion of the coordination across grade-levels (vertical coherence). After a presentation of the principles of the plurilingual teaching and learning, syllabus and course books will be considered as a part of the curriculum. The dynamic interplay between syllabus – course book – cross-linguistic curriculum will be analysed in the context of different regions of educational coordination in Switzerland. The article ends up by presenting the role of coordinated syllabus and course books both in initial and in-service training of the teachers with regard to the development of a coherent languages curriculum.
