Abstract:
Die inselkeltische Sprache Irisch sah sich über die Jahrhunderte politischen und gesellschaftlichen Hürden ausgesetzt. Durch die Festlegung des Irischen als erste Amtssprache in der Verfassung der irischen Republik und der Einführung als Amts- und Arbeitssprache der EU hat sich das Irische als moderne EU-Sprache etabliert. Die Anzahl der Sprecher*innen des Irischen ist jedoch beschränkt und findet sich heute nur mehr in der irischen Gaeltacht. Untersuchungsgegenstand ist die Analyse, der von der irischen Regierung erarbeiteten Terminologie- und Sprachpläne, die dazu erstellt wurden, um den Arbeitsaufwand zu bewältigen, der bis 2022 für Übersetzer*innen und Dolmetscher*innen der EU entstehen wird. ; Over the centuries, the celtic language Irish has faced political and social obstacles. With the establishment of Irish as the first official language in the Constitution of the Irish Republic and working language of the EU, Irish can be seen as a modern EU language. However, the number of Irish speakers is limited and now only to be found in the Irish Gaeltacht. The subject of study is to analyze and forecast the terminology and language plans drawn up by the Irish government aiming at handling the workload that will be required of EU translators and interpreters until 2022.
