Abstract:
This thesis examines certain autobiographical works of the Carinthian Slovenian minority that have been published by the small bilingual publishing company Drava as part of a series labelled “Books against Forgetting“ (Bücher gegen das Vergessen), in the context of theoretical considerations of the “Holocaust Autobiography”. Holocaust Literature is considered a unique genre, which based on the term “Holocaust” as a collective name for the National-Socialist policy of repression and elimination of all groups of victims, describes texts which examine one or more aspects or groups of victims of the Holocaust. (Feuchert: 2000, 15) The series “Books against Forgetting” creates a multi-faceted view on the various tragedies of Carinthian Slovenians during Wold War II and the socio-political development. Therefore, the Holocaust can not only be seen as the point of departure, but also as the central content of the works in question. ... : Diese Diplomarbeit hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, sich mit autobiographischen Werken von Kärntner SlowenInnen, die in dem zweisprachigen Kärntner Drava Verlag unter dem Titel Reihe „Bücher gegen das Vergessen“ veröffentlicht wurden, vor dem Hintergrund von theoretischen Überlegungen zur Holocaustautobiographie auseinanderzusetzen. Holocaustliteratur wurde in der Arbeit als eigenes Genre verstanden, das, in Anlehnung an den Begriff Holocaust als Sammelbezeichnung für die nationalsozialistische Repression- und Vernichtungspolitik gegen alle Opfergruppen, diejenige Texte umschreibt, die einen oder mehrere der vielen Aspekte oder Opfergruppen des Holocaust behandeln. In der Reihe „Bücher gegen das Vergessen“ wiederum wird ein vielseitiger Blick auf die unterschiedlichen Schicksale von Kärntner SlowenInnen etabliert und die gesellschaftspolitischen Entwicklungen während des Zweiten Weltkriegs und der Holocaust fungieren nicht nur als Ausgangspunkt sondern auch als vorrangiger Inhalt ...
