Visto que, na Língua Portuguesa não existem baterias de nomeação para as categorias lexicais nomes e verbos, desenhadas de acordo com as propriedades das palavras, construímos uma bateria de nomeação e evocação de nomes e verbos, com três provas (nomeação de objectos, nomeação de verbos e evocação/geração de verbos, a partir de imagens de objectos) que permita avaliar dificuldades de linguagem em adultos quadros afásicos ou demenciais. Avaliamos as características psicométricas da bateria bem como o efeito de variáveis demográficas e linguísticas. Aplicámos a bateria a uma amostra de 161 sujeitos normais utilizando 90 desenhos de objectos e acções, a traço único sem preenchimento colorido, seleccionados após o estudo piloto. Aplicamos previamente as provas de Matrizes e Vocabulário da WASI e uma prova de leitura. Os resultados demonstram que a bateria é válida e aplicável na população portuguesa, sendo que os resultados variam consoante a idade e a escolaridade dos sujeitos. Verificamos que os resultados nas provas da WASI e leitura podem ser indicadores prévios da performance nas provas de nomeação e evocação de objectos e acções. Encontraram-se diferenças significativas nos desempenhos dos sujeitos conforme a prova aplicada. Não foram encontrados efeitos significativos no que diz respeito às variáveis linguísticas. ; Despite the several attempts to decode the lexical access to nouns and verbs, that still not understood. In Portuguese Language there are no instruments to evaluate the lexical categories of nouns and verbs, design controlling different word properties. We build a test of nomination and generation of nouns and verbs with 3 parts (a test of nouns nomination, a test of verb nomination and a test for verb generation) that allows evaluating language difficulties in aphasic and dementing patients. We evaluate the battery characteristics as well as the effect of demographic and linguistics variables. The battery was applied to 161 normal subjects, using 90 black and white draws, selected after the pilot study. We previously apply 3 other tests, 2 from WASI e one reading test. The results show that the battery is valid and applicable to Portuguese population, but the results can be different with age and education. The results of Wasi tests and reading test can predict the results of our tests. There are differences in the subjects performance depending of the test applied. There are no effects of the linguistic variables.
