Abstract: National audience ; This article proposes to revisit the main question, in music therapy, that is the change process from non-verbal communication to verbal expression based on a singular identity when it is prevented? The underlying clinical context of the neurological rehabilitation enable to orient to the question of the gesture, major concern after a stroke, and around the trauma which prevents the thought and the mourning of one self before that leaves without voice. The work of anthropologist Marcel Jousse, which links thought and language to the gestures of the Anthropos, illuminates this question. His work is however little mentioned in the theoretical corpus of music therapy. However, it can agree with other epistemological approaches to music: philosophical, psychoanalytical, neurophysiological, neuropsychological . and we quote authors such as Francis Wolff, Edith Lecourt, Gabriel Rousteau, Catherine Morin. By doing so, we reaffirm the specificity of music therapy which, beyond the rehabilitation techniques of the auditory and emotional sphere, is ab ovo and in fine, a care of the subject thinking in its singularity and identity.
