Contribuições para o Estudo dos Compostos Nominais do Português

Abstract:
Neste trabalho estuda-se o conceito do composto nominal e, consequentemente, do processo de composição que o origina. São observadas 471 ocorrências, com o objetivo de contribuir para uma melhor descrição e caracterização dos compostos nominais do português, procurando enquadrá-los na formação de palavras, em geral. Essas ocorrências, que formam o corpus deste trabalho, foram recolhidas a partir do Dicionário Houaiss 2007 e separadas em quatro grupos, os compostos endocêntricos, os compostos exocêntricos, os compostos e as expressões lexicalizadas. Basicamente, o trabalho é composto por três capítulos, da maneira como se segue. No primeiro capítulo apresentamos uma revisão das perspectivas teóricas adotadas para esse estudo, pautadas tanto em trabalhos mais antigos como em trabalhos mais recentes. No segundo capítulo são apresentadas as ocorrências que compõem o corpus e por fim, no terceiro capítulo, procede-se à análise morfológica, sintática e semântica dos itens seleccionados. ; This paper is a study of the nominal compounds as well as the nominal process which generates them. 471 word sequences are observed, aiming at contributing to a better description and characterization of the Portuguese nominal compounds, trying to include them at the overall word-formation. Such word sequences which constitute the corpus of this paper, were selected from the Houaiss Dictionary 2007 and separated in four major groups, the endocentric group, the exocentric group and the lexicalized expressions and compounds. Basically, the text consists in three parts. In the introduction (1) it is presented a revision of the theoretical perspectives adopted in this study, guided by former as well as more recent investigations, followed by (2) the word sequences list selected to form the corpus. Next (3), the semantic, syntactic and morphological analysis of the corpus is presented.
