Abstract:
Η Αγγλική γλώσσα αποτελεί την παγκόσμια γλώσσα και η ανάγκη των Ελλήνων να αναπτύξουν πλήρως την ικανότητα επικοινωνίας σε προφορικό και γραπτό επίπεδο θεωρείται ζωτικής σημασίας στα πλαίσια μιας πολυγλωσσικής Ευρώπης που προωθεί την φόρμουλα «2+1» (γνώση 2 ευρωπαϊκών γλωσσών + τη μητρική) (Commission of the European Communities, 1995). Λόγω όμως της ύπαρξης ανεπαρκούς ξενόγλωσσης εκπαίδευσης στα δημόσια σχολεία της Ευρώπης, το Ευρωπαϊκό Συμβούλιο αποφάσισε την διερεύνηση εναλλακτικών προσεγγίσεων εκμάθησης ξένων γλωσσών. Από το 1990 παρατηρείται μια σταδιακή προώθηση της Ευρωπαϊκής κοινότητας στη μέθοδο CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) ή Ολ.Εκ.Πε.Γ (Ολιστική Εκμάθηση Περιεχομένου και Γλώσσας) η οποία κλιμακώνεται το 2005 με την πρόταση του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου πως η CLIL θα πρέπει να υιοθετηθεί ως μέθοδος από όλη την Ευρωπαϊκή ένωση (EC,2005). Since 1990 there has been a gradual promotion of the European community in CLIL method (Content and Language Integrated Learning) or Ολ.Εκ.Πε.Γ in Greek, which escalated in 2005 with the European Parliament's proposal that CLIL should be adopted as a method of typical education throughout the European Union (EC, 2005).
