Abstract:
Formålet med undersøgelsen er at belyse, i hvilken udstrækning 18-25 årige unge med indvandrerbaggrund i Tyrkiet, Pakistan og Jugoslavien er integreret i det danske samfund. Dette belyses bl.a. i forhold til levevilkår som uddannelse, arbejde, bolig, familiedannelse, fritid og sociale kontakter. Blandt de unge indvandrere belyses også forskelle mellem nationaliteterne og de to køn. Herudover vil man i undersøgelsens kvalitative del søge at belyse de strategier, børn og unge i indvandrerfamilier i Danmark benytter for at etablere en identitet, og hvordan de tackler de modsætninger, der eksisterer mellem deres eget og det danske familie- og samfundsmønster. Undersøgelsens kvalitative del gennemføres ved besøgsinterview med 350 unge i alderen 20-24 år fra hver af de tre nævnte indvandrernationaliteter. De unge såkaldte andengenerationsindvandrere skal have boet i Danmark i mindst 10 år.
