Abstract:
; German dialects in Altai have been evolving for more than 200 years in isolation from the proto-language surrounded by the foreign language (Russian) on the one hand, and during the process of a long-term contact and intermixture with each other, on the other hand. The vocabulary of the newly created mixed dialects has undergone a lot of changes. Studying various semantic transformations allows us to trace the formation of a linguoculturological space, made up by the vocabulary of a certain dialect thus defining a dialectal landscape of the native German dialect speakers in Altai. Dialectal vocabulary corpus includes a big number of verbs belonging to the general German lexical base, which preserve full or partial similarity in meaning and are treated as dialectal formal (phonetic) variants of one and the same lexical unit. A considerable part of dialectal verbs possess semantic stability, preserving old, present at the time of migration, meanings. However, verbs are also susceptible to semantic variation in its different manifestations. At the same time there are numerous cases of the word meaning change, i.e. semantic derivation, manifested in the form of synchronous polysemy. Narrowing and extension of meaning are traditionally referred to such processes. Study of semantic variation needs further research not only within the framework of certain dialects, but also within the context of language contrasts (dialect dialect, dialects -Russian language, dialects literary German language). Diachronic study of lexical units semantics makes it possible to show specific development of an insular dialect isolated from its protolanguage, as well as trace the stages of its formation in comparison with other insular dialects or modern German dialects.
