Abstract:
В статье рассматриваются особенности употребления образных концептов «light» и «darkness» в предвыборном политическом дискурсе Джо Байдена. Актуальность исследования предвыборного политического дискурса определяет главенствующая роль сферы политики в жизни отдельного человека и общества. Политика контролирует все явления социальной жизни и неразрывно связана с организацией жизни в обществе. Политическая власть посредством языковых средств и приемов, внедряет в массовое сознание выгодные для себя взгляды, мнения, способы действий. Основная цель политической коммуникации – манипуляция общественным сознанием, которая позволяет захватить, удержать и осуществлять политическую власть. С целью воздействия на избирателя, политические деятели используют различные речевые приемы и языковые средства, позволяющие создавать у адресата определенную модель мира, пробуждать необходимые ассоциации и эмоции, подталкивающие их к «правильному» выбору. ... : The article discusses the features of the use of figurative concepts "light" and "darkness" in Joe Biden's pre-election political discourse. The relevance of the study of pre-election political discourse is determined by the dominant role of the sphere of politics in the life of an individual and society. Politics controls all aspects of social life and is inextricably linked with the organization of life in society. By using linguistic means and techniques, political power introduces into the mass consciousness views, opinions, and methods of action that are beneficial to it. The main purpose of political communication is the manipulation of public consciousness, which allows for seizing, retaining and exercising political power. In order to influence the voter, politicians use various speech techniques and language tools that allow the addressee to create a certain model of the world, to invoke the necessary associations and emotions that push them to the "right" choice. ...
