Abstract:
A Hipótese de Reconfiguração de Traços (HRT) (Lardiere, 2009) sugere que as dificuldades na aquisição da L2 ocorrem quando os aprendentes têm de reconfigurar os traços existentes na sua L1 de modo que passem a apresentar a configuração que a L2 possui, após a transferência inicial dos traços da L1 para a L2 (por mapeamento direto das formas das duas línguas). Para os padrões de colocação de clíticos em línguas românicas, Martins (1994) considera que o padrão de colocação em afirmativas simples tem que ver com a categoria Σ: por conter traços-V fortes no português europeu (PE), o resultado visível é a ênclise na ausência de formas que desencadeiam a próclise; nas demais línguas românicas os traços-V são fracos e o resultado visível é a próclise em todos os contextos finitos. Os traços V-fortes desta categoria são também responsáveis pela possibilidade de respostas verbais em PE. O objetivo deste estudo foi de testar a HRT relativamente à aquisição dos padrões de colocação dos clíticos do PE L2 (i.e. transferência nos estádios iniciais de aquisição e reconfiguração nos estádios mais avançados), além de observar se existe uma sequência de desenvolvimento para a aquisição dos contextos de próclise. Neste estudo, onze falantes nativos de espanhol de npivel de proficiência baixo categorizados como grupo Baixo e dez de nível de proficiência mais avançado categorizados como grupo Alto executaram duas tarefas: uma de completamento de frases através da seleção de uma entre duas opções (ênclise ou próclise) e outra de julgamento de aceitabilidade de respostas a perguntas. Similarmente com o que ocorreu em outros estudos de aquisição de PE L2, observou-se uma preferência pela ênclise em contextos de ênclise e de próclise, a qual diminuiu com o aumento do nível de proficiência. A análise por contexto de próclise mostrou que a evolução dos padrões de colocação não é homogénea, havendo contextos que são realizados em maiores taxas já em níveis mais baixos (frases negativas e com o sujeito negativo “ninguém”). O teste de julgamento de aceitabilidade mostrou também uma evolução na aceitação das respostas verbais com o aumento da proficiência. No entanto, a análise estatística não demonstrou correlação estatística entre este resultado e as taxas de ênclise obtidas no teste anterior (p = 0,084). Concluiu-se que há indícios da validade da HRT relativamente à aquisição dos padrões de colocação dos pronomes clíticos em PE, especialmente nos casos de ênclise, por falantes de espanhol L1, mas investigações futuras devem ser conduzidas de modo que se comprove a natureza desta reconfiguração. ; The Feature Reassembly Hypothesis (FRH) (Lardiere, 2009) suggests that the difficulties in L2 acquisition happen when the learners have to reassemble the features present in their L1 in order to present the L2’s configuration, after the initial transference od features from the L1 to the L2 (by direct mapping of both languages’ forms). For the patterns of clitics placement in Romance languages, Martins (1994) considers that this pattern in simple affirmative sentences has to do with a category called Σ: by containing strong Vfeatures in European Portuguese, the visible result is enclisis in the absence of forms that trigger proclisis; in the other Romance languages the V-features are weak and the visible result is proclisis in all finite contexts. The V-traits of this category are also responsible for allowing verbal responses in EP. This studied aimed to test the FRH regarding the acquisition of clitics pattern in EP L2 (i.e. transference during the initial stages and reassembly in the more advanced ones), as well as to observe if there is a development sequence for the acquistion of contexts of proclisis. In this study, eleven native speakers of Spanish with low proficiency level categorized as Low group and ten of a higher proficiency level categorized as High group executed two tasks: one of sentences completion by the selection of one between two options (enclisis or proclisis) and an answers to question acceptability judgment task. In accordance to what has happened in other studies on EP L2 acquistion, a preference for enclisis in contexts of enclisis and proclisis has been detected, which decreased with the increase in the proficiency level. The analysis by proclitic contexts has shown that the development of the placement patterns I not homogeneous, with contexts that are produced in higher rates even at lower levels of proficiency (negative sentences and with the negative subject “nobody”). The acceptability judgement task has also shown a development on the rates of acceptance of verbal respondes as the proficiency level was higher. Nevertheless, the statistical analysis has not shown statistical correlation between this result and the rates of enclisis obtained by the previous task (p = 0,084). The conclusion is that there are signs that the FRH might be valid regarding the acquisition of placement patterns of clitics pronouns in EP, especially concerning contexts of enclisis, by Spanish L1 speakers, but future research must be conducted in order to assess the nature of this reassembly.
