In Lebanon, a multilingual country, speech therapists still lack to this day the necessary tools, adapted and calibrated, to bilingual children aged less than 3 years old. For this reason, a project was launched in order to adapt the long version of the parental questionnaire « MacArthur-Bates Communicative Development Inventories: words and gestures » or CDI-I (Fenson et al., 1993) in three languages (Arabic, French and English). In this study, the vocabulary of 112 bilingual Lebanese children aged 8 to 16 months was analyzed. No statistically significant differences in word numbers were found between girls and boys in com-prehension and in production. In addition, child’s birth order did not seem to affect vocabulary growth. Furthermore, the analysis showed that the category “social words” is the most developed at this age (8 to 16 months) in comprehension and production. Finally, the analysis of vocabulary confirmed that language exposure plays an important role for the development of lexicons in different languages. ; Le vocabulaire est un indicateur essentiel du développement langagier. Au Liban, les orthophonistes ne disposent d’aucun outil d’évaluation objectif, adapté et étalonné pour les enfants libanais de moins de 3 ans qui vivent dans un contexte plurilingue. Pour pallier ce manque, une adaptation trilingue (arabe libanais, français et anglais) de la version longue du questionnaire parental « MacArthur-Bates Communicative Development Inventories: words and gestures » ou CDI-I (Fenson et al., 1993) a été réalisée. Le vocabulaire de 112 enfants libanais vivant dans un contexte plurilingue âgés entre 8 et 16 mois a été analysé avec cet outil. Aucune différence statistiquement significative quant au nombre de mots n’a été constatée entre les filles et les garçons, tant en compréhension qu’en production. Aucune différence n’a été constatée entre les ainés et puinés. L’analyse du nombre de mots acquis par catégorie a permis de mettre en évidence dans le lexique précoce de l’enfant libanais, une prédominance de la catégorie « mots sociaux », en compréhension et en production. Enfin, une analyse du vocabulaire par langue a confirmé la dominance du facteur exposition langagière sur le développement lexical en milieu plurilingue.
