In such relationships, adequate communication between representatives of the profession and laypersons is crucial in addressing their individual problems. Accordingly, "understanding," as well as interactional documentation of this understanding, is of considerable importance. The authors of the present volume, "Understanding in Professional Spheres of Activity," address the documentation of this understanding in certain professional spheres. They examine the requirements for the documentation of such understanding and the forms of documentation used in the fields of doctor-patient communication, counseling communication, and organizational collaboration on a movie set. Conversation analytic as well as ethnographically complemented studies draw further attention to an examination of the interactional level in its socio-structural context, and to that end the study employs a combination of conversational linguistics and sociological research. En estas relaciones, la comunicación adecuada entre los representantes de la profesión y los laicos es crucial para manejar sus problemas individuales. En consecuencia, el "entendimiento" así como documentación interaccional de éste, es de considerable importancia. Los autores del presente volumen, "Verstehen in professionellen Handlungsfeldern" [El entendimiento en las esferas profesionales de actividad] ubican la documentación de este entendimiento en ciertas esferas profesionales. Examinan las necesidades de esta documentación y las formas de documentación usadas en los campos de comunicación doctor-paciente, comunicación de consultas, y colaboración organizacional en un escenario de película. La analítica de la conversación así como estudios complementados etnográficamente, atraen más atención para el examen del nivel interaccional en su contexto socio-estructural, y a ese fin el estudio utiliza una combinación de lingüística conversacional e investigación sociológica. Mit solchen Verstehensdokumentationen befassen sich die Autoren des hier zu besprechenden Bandes über "Verstehen in professionellen Handlungsfeldern". Sie untersuchen im Bereich der ÄrztInnen-PatientInnen-Kommunikation, der Beratungskommunikation und in organisationsförmigen Kooperationen in einem Filmset, mit welchen funktionalen Anforderungen Verstehensdokumentationen konfrontiert sind und welche Formen eingesetzt werden. Die konversationsanalytisch orientierten und ethnografisch komplementierten Studien machen auf die Notwendigkeit aufmerksam, die interaktionale Ebene in ihren sozialstrukturellen Kontexten zu untersuchen und deshalb gesprächslinguistische und soziologische Forschung miteinander zu verbinden.
