Abstract:
La práctica diaria en las aulas de Secundaria permite constatar las dificultades con la que se encuentra el alumnado cuando se enfrenta a la lengua empleada en el ámbito escolar. Estas limitaciones a la hora de entender y utilizar esta lengua académica pueden condicionar el éxito o fracaso académico de los estudiantes, ya que influirá tanto en la adquisición de conocimientos de las asignaturas, como en la adecuación de sus producciones escritas a la situación comunicativa, en su mayor parte textos expositivos. Para abordar este problema es preciso acometer la enseñanza explícita de este tipo de lengua. Los rasgos más característicos de la misma se encuentran en su vocabulario, ya que es donde mayor variabilidad se puede encontrar respecto a la lengua conversacional. En el presente estudio se ha abordado la enseñanza de este vocabulario académico en un agrupamiento específico de 4º ESO a través de una secuencia didáctica diseñada en forma de proyecto. El objetivo del trabajo era comprobar si realizando una atención explícita al vocabulario académico a través de la secuencia, el producto final, una infografía, mejora en su nivel léxico. La secuencia se organizó a través de talleres que trataban los distintos aspectos de este género mixto, que el alumnado tuvo que elaborar como producto final. El análisis confirmó que el trabajo explícito de las voces facilita su aprendizaje y, además, la inclusión de estas en los textos expositivos académicos contribuye a mejorar su calidad. ; The daily practice in the Secondary classroom allows us to verify the difficulties that the students find when they face the language used in the school environment. These limitations when understanding and using this academic language can condition the success or academic failure of the students, since it will influence both the acquisition of knowledge of the subjects, as well as the adequacy of their written productions to the communicative situation, being most of them expository type. To address this problem it is necessary to undertake the explicit teaching of this type of language. The most characteristic features of it are found in its vocabulary, since it is where the greatest variability can be found with respect to the conversational language. In the present study the teaching of this academic vocabulary has been addressed in a specific group of 4th ESO through a didactic sequence designed in the form of a project. The objective of the work was to check whether making an explicit attention to the academic vocabulary through the sequence, the final product, an infographic, improves in its lexical level. The sequence was organized through workshops that dealt with the different aspects of this mixed genre, which the students had to elaborate as a final product.
