Abstract: International audience ; The Oto-Pamean languages of Mexico form the northernmost branch of the Oto-Mangueanstock (see Kaufmann, this volume). They are currently spoken in isolated villages scatteredthroughout a very large area of Central Mexico from San Luís Potosí to the north to the farend of the State of Mexico to the south, and to the east in the mountainous ridges of Hidalgoand Puebla. Oto-Pamean languages are neighbours to Mayan Huastec, Totonac-Tepehualanguages, Purepecha and Nahuatl.
