Kousar, R; Sarfraz, N; Qasim, K. - : International Journal of English and Education, 2016
Abstract: This paper reveals representation of reality in Wilfred Owens selected poems. It usesabstraction, artistic volition and interior monologue to explore expressionism in Owens poems. It takes insight from the experimentation of Edvard Munch, Vincent Van Gogh and Strindberg.Expressionism breaks the narrowing limits of finite reality presented by the outward callousworld. It focuses on the eternal feelings and emotions rather than the external objects. WilfredOwen is remarkable in his poetic usage of metrical and musical effects and imagery.
