Abstract:
A traditional story narrated by Waxia Danyong about a wealthy man, whose house had a tall tree in front of it. His son insisted on cutting the tree as it was of no use for them (giving fruit which were picked by other people). As he was cutting the tree, the tree continued to grow, so that he finally lost his leg. That son, called Khirang, became a deity, protecting fishermen
