Abstract:
À partir d’enquêtes linguistiques récentes ayant mené à la découverte fortuite d’un argot de diamantaires parlé à Paris au XXe siècle et dont le lexique consiste essentiellement en emprunts au yidich, au néerlandais et au judéo-espagnol, cet article propose, après une description et une mise en perspective de cette variété, quelques réflexions sur les argots de métier : quels métiers donnent lieu à des argots de métiers ? Pourquoi n’en est-il pas dans tous les milieux socioprofessionnels ? À ces questions, nous répondrons par quelques cas d’espèce et, enfin, par un formulaire d’enquête proposé au (socio-)linguiste désireux d’entreprendre une collecte dans ce champ négligé. ; This article is based on recent linguistic research which led to the chance discovery of slang used in the diamond trade in twentieth-century Paris; its vocabulary is mainly composed of borrowings from Yiddish, Dutch and Judeo-Spanish, also known as Ladino. After an initial description and overview of this varied lexicon, the article offers some thoughts on the slang used by different trades: which trades produce their own particular slang? Why is this phenomenon not common to all socio-professional circles? These questions will be answered by reference to several case studies and a form for carrying out a survey will be suggested to (socio-)linguists who are keen to collect data in this neglected field. ; `resume lang="es"b A partir de investigaciones lingüísticas recientes que han conducido al descubrimiento fortuito de una jerga de diamantistas hablada en París en el siglo XX, cuyo léxico consiste esencialmente en préstamos del yidis, del neerlandés y del ladino, este artículo propone, después de una descripción y de una puesta en perspectiva de esta variedad, algunas reflexiones sobre las jergas de oficio: ¿Qué oficios dan lugar a jergas de oficio? ¿Por qué no surgen en todos los medios socioprofesionales ? Responderemos a estas preguntas por medio de algunos casos de especie y, por último, propondremos un formulario de encuesta que podrán utilizar los (socio)lingüistas deseosos de reunir datos en este ámbito ignorado.
