Abstract: International audience ; In this paper we argue that a sensorimotor model of how an agent experiences events (both as an observer and as a participant) sheds useful light on the question of how to represent the syntax and semantics of sentences that report events. Our focus is on how to model the similarities and differences between sentences reporting change-of-state events and those reporting transitive and intransitive actions.
