Abstract:
Scytodes mangabeiras new species Figs. 44–47 Type material: Holotype: male from Parque das Mangabeiras, Belo Horizonte [19 ° 55 ' S; 43 ° 55 ' W], Minas Gerais, Brazil, 14 September 1994, A. J. Santos & M.O Gonzaga, deposited in IBSP 36487. Paratypes: BRAZIL. Minas Gerais: Diamantina (Serrinha) [18 ° 15 ' S; 43 ° 36 ' W], 13, December 1944, E. Cohn (AMNH); Sete Lagoas (Serra de Santa Helena) [19 ° 26 ' S; 44 ° 13 ' W], 13, 5 August 2000, E.S.S. Álvares (IBSP 36488); Ouro Preto [20 ° 22 ' S; 43 ° 30 ' W], 13, U. Gomes (MNRJ 781). Etymology . The specific name is a noun in apposition that refers to the type locality of the holotype. Diagnosis . Males of Scytodes mangabeiras n.sp. are distinguished from those of the remaining Neotropical Scytodes by the prolateral, slightly dorsal, curved laminar projection (Fig. 45) and by the retrolateral sclerotized process, slightly curved prolaterally (Figs. 46–47).
