Perception auditive et ressenti d’auditeurs de divers profils pour les voyelles corses du Cantu in Paghjella

Abstract:
International audience ; Le Cantu in Paghjella corse « désigne à la fois un genre de chant polyphonique (…), une technique vocale et un contexte d’exécution » (Herrgott 2019: 169) : polyphonie traditionnelle à 3 voix le plus souvent masculines, il est souvent produit en plein air et a cappella, et provoque des modifications des voyelles produites (Pillot-Loiseau et al. 2016). Comment ces changements vocaliques chantés sont-ils perçus et ressentis par des auditeurs chanteurs et non chanteurs de diverses origines régionales ? Suite à des tests d'identification de voyelles postérieures parlées et chantées, leurs taux d’identification sont meilleurs en mode parlé qu’en chant, avec une tendance à les identifier comme plus ouvertes ou antérieures arrondies. Le chant entraîne au plus 19% d’identifications conformes, avec une tendance à assimiler ces voyelles vers des segments encore plus ouverts, voire nasals. Ces taux sont plus élevés chez les auditeurs qui chantent le Cantu in Paghjella pour la parole, mais aussi pour les auditeurs du Nord-Est de la Corse, de même origine régionale que le chanteur ayant produit les stimuli.
