	Abstract: L’objectif de ce travail est de décrire le sens des tough-adjectifs (TA) dans les Tough-constructions (TC) de type [SN est Adj à Vinf (pour y)] et les constructions impersonnelles de type [Il est Adj (à SN) de Vinf x], en montrant qu’il n’est pas exactement le même. Dans les constructions impersonnelles, l’adjectif a deux arguments (‹Vinf x› et ‹à SN›) ; dans les TC, ce même adjectif constitue avec l’infinitif un unique prédicat complexe à un seul argument – le SN sujet de prédication –, le complément en pour n’étant qu’un adjoint. Cette démonstration se fonde sur une analyse des rôles respectifs de l’adjectif et de l’infinitif, dans le groupe adjectival, l’adjectif qualifiant le sujet et l’infinitif spécifiant eu égard à laquelle de ses ‹dimensions› le sujet mérite cette qualification. Ces propriétés du TA permettent de le considérer comme un prédicat typiquement ‹dispositionnel›. ; In the present work, we aim at describing the meaning of the tough-adjectives (TA) in Tough-constructions (TC) [SN est Adj à Vinf (pour y)], and in impersonal constructions [Il est Adj (à SN) de Vinf SN]. We show that the meaning, or more precisely the scope of the adjective is not exactly the same in both constructions. In impersonal construction, the adjective has two arguments (‹de Vinf SN› et ‹à SN›). In TC, the adjective constitutes, together with the infinitive, one complex AP, whose unique argument is the NP subject, the PP ‹pour SN› being only an adjunct. The demonstration is based on the respective roles of the adjective and the infinitive verb: the adjective attributes a quality to the subject, while the infinitive verb specifies with respect to what dimension of the subject this quality is attributed. Such properties make of TA true dispositional predicates.
