Abstract:
Der richtige Gebrauch der Artikel stellt auch für fortgeschrittene Deutschlernende eine große Herausforderung dar. Eine besonders hohe Hürde sind dabei die Verschmelzungen von Prä-position und Artikel, die in vielerlei Hinsicht ein Sonderfall sind. Die vorliegende Korpusstudie untersucht sowohl quantitativ als qualitativ wie fortgeschrittene Deutschlernende (mit den Muttersprachen Dänisch, Englisch, Französisch und Russisch) und Deutschmuttersprachler die Verschmelzungen von Präposition und Artikel (z.B. im, am, ins) und die dazugehörigen nicht kontrahierten Formen (z.B. in dem, an dem, in das) gebrauchen. Hierfür wird zunächst – neben dem morphologischen – vor allem auf den semantischen Aspekt der Verschmelzungsformen (vgl. engl. weak definites) eingegangen und es werden daraufhin Hypothesen zu ihrer Verwendungshäufigkeit und möglichen Fehlern durch Deutschlernende aufgestellt. Mittels einer Korpusrecherche in den fehlerannotierten Lernerkorpora Falko und Kobalt und einer anschließenden kontrastiven Fehleranalyse wird schließlich veranschaulicht, wie komplex sich semantische Kategorien wie Definitheit im Zweitspracherwerb verhalten und welche Rolle der Transfer aus der Muttersprache spielen kann. ; The correct use of articles is often a challenge even for advanced German learners. A particularly major hurdle is the use of contracted forms of preposition and article, which are a special case in German in many respects. The present corpus study examines both quantitatively and qualitatively how advanced German learners (with L1 Danish, English, French and Russian) and German native speakers use contracted forms of preposition and article (e.g., im, am, ins) and their relevant non-contracted forms (e.g., in dem, an dem, in das) in German. An elaboration of morphological and semantic aspects of the contracted forms (cf. weak definites) allows to figure out hypotheses regarding frequency of use of contracted and non-contracted forms and possible errors done by German learners. A corpus research in the error-annotated learner corpora Falko and Kobalt and a subsequent contrastive error analysis provide an insight into the complex behaviour of semantic categories such as definiteness and transfer from the native language in second language acquisition.
