Abstract:
"Die Arbeit geht zunächst der Frage nach, was Gendergerechte Sprache ist. Handelt es sich um ein sprachliches Phänomen, eine Varietät, ein Instrumentarium? In welchen Textsorten und welchen Registern spielt sie eine Rolle? Welchen Stellenwert hält sie in der Wissenschaftssprache? Der erste Teil widmet sich deshalb dem Theoretikum Gendergerechter Sprache, das aus den Perspektiven der Gender Studies, der (feministischen) Linguistik sowie der Kulturstudien betrachtet wird. Weiterhin gilt es, das gewählte Handlungsfeld abzustecken, indem die Varietät Wissenschaftssprache hinsichtlich ihrer Definition und ihrer Merkmale beschrieben wird. Neben einer theoretischen Betrachtung ist es der Arbeit ein Anliegen, den emotional gefärbten und medial potenzierten Diskurs empirisch zu berühren. Statt einen vermeintlichen Konsens wiederzugeben, soll der tatsächliche Gebrauch Gendergerechter Sprache in wissenschaftlichen Texten überprüft werden. Anstatt nur über die betroffenen Akteur*innen zu schreiben, sollen diese auch selbst zu Wort kommen. Die Forschungsinteressen lauten hierbei: Inwieweit wird in gesprochener Wissenschaftssprache Gendergerecht gehandelt? Inwieweit wird in geschriebener Wissenschaftssprache Gendergerecht gehandelt? Welche Rolle spielt Gendergerechte Sprache für Wissenschaftler*innen? Zur Beantwortung der ersten beiden Fragen wird je ein korpusanalytisches Vorgehen gewählt, während die dritte Frage anhand einer Befragung behandelt wird. Für alle drei Erhebungswege bezieht sich die Arbeit spezifisch auf die Fächer DaFZ und Germanistik."
