Abstract:
KRAZEM Mustapha, professeur au CREM Université de Lorraine, Metz et chercheur associé Laboratoire CPTC - Université de Bourgogne. ; International audience ; Thanks to the notion of discourse genre, this paper aims to account for the use of .e in French. By looking at the non-linear characteristics and at the pronunciation of this specific spelling, referred to as “inclusive”, we address the issue of the representation of the feminine this spelling conveys. What does the spelling "cher.e.s collègues" mean, for example in academic emails? The theoretical framework known as Grammaire Seconde (Blanche-Benveniste) is discussed and replaced by a dynamic system designed to test the logics behind the fact of taking the feminine away from the masculine. In other words, we try to understand the way in which grammatical and/or discursive genericity is motived. ; Cet article explicite le .e à travers la notion de genre de discours. En observant la non linéarité de cette orthographe dite « inclusive » et, sa prononciation, nous questionnerons la représentation linguistique du féminin dans, par exemple, un courriel universitaire. Que signifie ce .e dans « Cher.e.s collègues » ? Le marqueur du masculin sera également interrogé. La pratique théorique de la grammaire seconde de Blanche-Benveniste sera discutée et remplacée par un système dynamique qui éprouvera la logique analogique de la déféminisation du masculin. Autrement dit, il s’agira de comprendre la motivation de la généricité grammaticale et/ou discursive.
