Control and argument structure: Explaining control into subject in Indonesian
In: https://digitalcollections.anu.edu.au/bitstream/1885/41056/2/Arka__control.pdf (2000)
Abstract: The a(rgument)-structure based analysis within the Lexical-Functional Grammar framework provides natural explanation for different syntactic realizations of complex arguments in Indonesian. It especially accounts for control-into-subject constructions, predicted as impossible in earlier accounts in the theory of control. Discussions mainly deal with a-str and linking to account for voice alternations and possible control-into-subject constructions, not only in Indonesian, but also in other languages.
