Abstract: Статья посвящена рассмотрению таких понятий как «мышление», «мысль», «понимание», «сознание», «осознание», которые используются как в психологии, так и в когнитивной лингвистике, но до сих пор не имеют удовлетворительных научных определений. Авторские определения этих понятий позволяют по новому подойти к решению одной из основных проблем когнитивной лингвистики, касающейся взаимосвязи языка (слова, речи) с мышлением и сознанием. ; The concepts LANGUAGE, WORD, SPEECH, THINKING, THOUGHT, UNDERSTANDING, CONSCIOUSNESS, AWARENESS are considered in the intersection of conceptual systems of cognitive linguistics and psychology in the article. Since there are no satisfactory scientific definitions of the basic concepts of THINKING and CONSCIOUSNESS either in cognitive linguistics or in psychology, the author proposes his own definitions of the mentioned concepts. Thinking is determined not only as a process of expression of bounds and relations between objects of reality in mind, but also as a process of forming bonds between the images appearing in the mind. The result of thinking is understanding and formation of thought as a total of interdependent images. As for consciousness it is determined as a cognitive mental process, more complex than thinking, the result of which is formation of the image in human mind, defined as an “I” image. The bond of the “I” image with any other image existing in the mind is determined as the process of awareness. The author's definitions of the basic concepts of cognitive linguistics and psychology proposed in the article allow a new approach to solution of one of the main issues of cognitive linguistics concerning interrelation of language (word, speech) with thinking and consciousness.
