In this perspective, comes the question of the place and use of textbooks as a tool amongst the didactic devices used by teachers in a language class and more specifically a tool to teach writing skills. In this contribution, we will study what teachers of French as a Foreign Language (FFL) teaching in a FFL department in a French University located in France (Lille) say about this tool. By questioning them in semi-structured interviews, we try to better understand how they introduce the writing tasks suggested in FFL textbooks to their students. We will show interest in some of the shortcomings of these textbooks, shortcomings that lead teachers to modify the suggested tasks and adapt them to their teaching environment. Six teachers’ feedbacks, received during semi-structured interviews, will be analyzed in order to highlight the teacher’s work of transformation and adaptation of the tasks ; Une tâche essentielle des enseignants est de rechercher, de fabriquer, de sélectionner, voire de modifier des ressources qu’ils présentent à leurs apprenants. Dans cette perspective, la question de la place et de l’usage du manuel comme instrument utilisé par les enseignants dans le dispositif didactique en classe de langues et tout particulièrement pour enseigner la production écrite se pose. Dans cette contribution, nous nous intéressons au discours d’enseignants de Français Langue Étrangère (FLE), exerçant dans un centre universitaire de FLE en France. En les questionnant lors d’entretiens semi-dirigés, nous tentons d’apprendre comment ils déclarent mettre en scène les tâches d’écriture proposées dans les manuels de FLE. C’est le discours de six enseignants obtenus à la suite de la conduite d’entretiens semi-dirigés qui sera analysé pour mettre en lumière l’activité professorale de transformation, d’adaptation des tâches.
