E-Journal-Hosting

FID Linguistik supports scientific editorial boards in the publication of linguistically relevant open access journals.

The service is free of charge. It includes the provision of the technical infrastructure, the long-term sustainability of the content as well as the integration of the journal in relevant catalogue systems and databases.

Open Journal Systems

We use the software Open Journal Systems (OJS). It enables a web-based management of e-journals, working papers or other digital periodical publications. OJS covers the entire editorial workflow – from submission of an article and organisation of a peer-review process, up to publication. The OJS interface is available in numerous languages.

The University Library Frankfurt provides the basic set-up and the hosting of the platform. Practical introductions to the OJS software as well as the maintenance of the infrastructure are part of the FID service.

Our journals

In the module Linguistik-Journals, you can find detailed information about the journals supported by FID Linguistik.

An overview of the journals that are currently hosted by the University Library Frankfurt is available at https://www.ub.uni-frankfurt.de/publizieren/ojs.html.
