Three Frankfurt-based FID enter the next funding period

The German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DGF) has approved extensive funding for the further expansion of the three Specialised Information Services (Fachinformationsdienste, FID): Biodiversity Research (FID BIOfid), Comparative Literature (FID AVL) and Linguistics (FID Linguistik). For the funding of the three projects, the DFG will grant the University Library Johann Christian Senckenberg in Frankfurt am Main almost 3.5 million euros. The University Library Frankfurt provides six of currently 37 Specialised Information Services in the DFG's national programme for the support of science, research, and higher education (see https://www.puk.uni-frankfurt.de/132063137).

The start of the third funding period of the FID Linguistics is planned for mid-2023.
